Jigsaw Search’s client is a market leader in the Retail space and household name. Housing some of the largest supplier contracts in the country, this represents a procurement opportunity of magnitude.

The Role

Positioned for transformation and with ‘C’ level stakeholder engagement and support, this role will be crucial in delivering the organisation’s Contract Management system and Vendor Management capability.

This role represents a key player in the area of supplier governance and performance measurement for the Procurement team. Ultimately managing risk and building stronger supplier relationships.

Position Duties

• Assist with the execution of contracts and contract variations in partnership with the legal team.
  
• To collect supplier performance data and synthesise into supplier scorecards.
  
• To mediate contract/performance disputes in partnership with Legal and stakeholders.
  
• To identify cost saving initiatives and supplier innovation ideas and successfully implement approved initiatives.
  
• Prepare supplier contracts or important procurement documents and presentations.
  
• Provide general support across the Procurement team including day to day assistance with sourcing, supplier performance management and service delivery activities. 
  

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a blue chip procurement role with a heavy focus on supplier management. 
• Exposure to FMCG desirable or similar fast paced environments.
• Tertiary qualified in Law preferable or business with strong legal aspects.
• Solid experience in Supplier Relationship Management and KPI Measurement
• Strong understanding of contract law and high value/risk services and materials agreements.
• Demonstrated contract management and vendor management experience.
• Issue resolution exposure.
• SLA/KPI supplier performance review exposure.
• Consulting experience or multiple organisation experience useful as well as Outsourcing and Low Cost Country Sourcing exposure.
