The Role 

Position Duties

• Lead sourcing projects applying rigorous analysis, market engagement, supplier negotiation, contract development and implementation process to ensure that value is maximised through the sourcing process
  
• Manage the linkages between potentially conflicting drivers from internal customers and vendors
  
• Tailor the sourcing process to address the specific conditions within each addressed category market
  
• Ensure that internal customers are fully briefed on the process and project status throughout
  
• Complete world-class sourcing project milestone documents for review and endorsement by the Procurement Manager, internal customers / steering committee members and others as required by the approvals guidelines
  
• Work with the Procurement Manager to prioritise, allocate and address peak sourcing workload.
  
• Prepare an annual sourcing plan, profiling the key activities to be completed with detailed spend analysis
  
• Execute excellence in contract management (post award) for all major contracts placed  
  

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree qualified, with additional post-graduate studies in commerce or law desirable
• Demonstrated procurement experience including business-critical sourcing projects experience
• Deep knowledge of the end-to-end procurement process and associated value levers, and the commercial maturity to adapt the process to the market conditions
• Capacity to lead cross-functional project teams through sourcing activities, and to develop rigorous contract documentation
• Demonstrated capacity to influence stakeholders and facilitate change
• Working understanding of business law, the application of standard precedent agreements, and triggers for the participation of Group Legal
• Clear and precise written communication skills
• Collaborative, customer-focussed style with the capacity to build partnerships across the business through effective service provision
