The Role

Jigsaw Search have been engaged to source and screen an experience global category manager to create significant new value for the group through identification and execution of global strategic sourcing opportunities across HR and Recruitment spend. You will provide high quality, up to date strategic sourcing advice across HR category with initial focus on infrastructure support.

To be successful in this newly created position you will have previous experience on working within a non-mandated environment using both your credible commercial skills and deep subject matter around Recruitment Firms and HR Services to gain grip with key stakeholders within the business adding significant value.

You will have sound understanding of tangible negotiation using economic metrics behind basic pricing. Ideally you will understand the procurement is in place to compliment the business strategy and is a service to the internal customer.

Position Duties

• Detailed spend analysis and market analysis across HR spend.
  
• Develop detailed category plans to identify: High priority sub categories; Areas of opportunity; Proposed sourcing strategy/approach that will deliver reliable, high quality, best value and effective operational outcomes; and Technology requirements.
  
• Execution of sourcing strategy.
  
• Manage transition of supplier to business as usual.
  
• Develop key business relationships within HR and across the Group to gain an understanding of business requirements.
  
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with suppliers, to align objectives and maximise value.
  
• Seek out opportunities for continuous improvements, cost savings and efficiencies.
  
• Actively participate in the development of the sourcing/procurement process and procedures to enhance the delivery and performance of the strategic sourcing function.
  
• Maintain and track benefits/savings delivered through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  
• Act as a point of reference and expertise for the group in HR (and more general) procurement, key supplier relationships and strategic sourcing advice.
  
• Develop less experienced resources within and outside of Strategic Sourcing to build capability and enhance strategic sourcing and procurement skills and knowledge.

Skills & Experience Required

• Knowledge of current practices, supply relationships and global supply market within the HR field.
• Experience in application of strategic sourcing methodology.
• Business, facilitation and analytical skills.
• Influencing & relationship management skills.
• People leadership skills.
• Able to determine strategic and innovative approaches to the sourcing of HR goods and services.
• Proven track record in the management and delivery of large / complex sourcing activities.
• Collaborative approach with ability to develop and manage effective, mutually beneficial business relationships.
• High levels of initiative with the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous sourcing projects.
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills.
• Active “Hands on” approach with a “Can do” attitude.
• High level of presentation skills.
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
• Proven developer of people and skills.
• Ability to move seamlessly between strategic level governance to program management to a driver of content.
• Business/Commercial Tertiary qualification.
• Knowledge of and experience in strategic sourcing frameworks.
• Prior experience in senior HR roles and/or global strategic sourcing roles will be highly regarded.
• Consulting-based strategic sourcing experience is desirable, but not essential.
