Our client, a listed Global Financial Services business, is looking for a Global Category Manager to support the global procurement team on delivery of the Global Sourcing plans across an international landscape.  

The Role

You will work closely with the Global Sourcing team to support all commercial activities for Global IT&T Infrastructure including integration work post acquisition. 

Poistion Duties

• Develop and deliver supply chain review initiatives with the objective of minimising supply costs, maximising the value proposition and delivering superior service quality whilst maintaining acceptable risk positions across a multi-million dollar portfolio.
  
• Provide advisory services to internal global business partners around implementation activities including the application of group policy and cost management opportunities. Build partnerships that help drive innovation, growth and cost initiatives.
  
• Influence key senior personnel in driving procurement, policies and practices that deliver significant cost reduction.
  
• Develop strategies on a global basis with consideration to regional and local needs. Collaborate with and bring value to the broader IT&T portfolio.
  

Skills & Experience Required

• Demonstrated strategic procurement experience within IT&T and especially Infrastructure exposure
• Global or Asia Pacific regional exposure
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement ability and immaculate presentation skills
• Solid history of negotiating multi-million dollar agreements
• Tertiary qualified with post qualifications viewed favourably
• Financial Services or Blue chip experience essential
• 5-10 years experience working in a procurement role
• An understanding of the benefits of Category Management
• Asian Languages an advantage but not essential
