The Role

Since the introduction of a centre led procurement model, the procurement function has experienced an increase in demand from the business and is now servicing a broader portfolio of categories. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying opportunities for cost reduction by leveraging a considerable spend across multiple sites and rationalising the supply base. You will also focus on reducing leakage whilst increasing compliance to contracts. You will develop individual category strategies and manage the tendering process from end to end. Managing contracts and suppliers will be a shared responsibility. A further objective is to increase service levels internally and maintain the high standards set by the current members of the procurement function.  

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful, you will have significant sourcing and category management experience across a range of categories such as Commodities, Capital, Engineering Services and Components. You will have a manufacturing, heavy industry or resources background and worked within a centralised or centre led procurement function. Advanced negotiation techniques, knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and strong communication skills are required.
