Jigsaw Search’s client is looking for enthusiastic and flexible candidates with first hand experience of developing relationships with Technology suppliers and working with them in order to maximise the value they delivery to the business.

The Role

This will be achieved by aligning the commercial goals of the client with the capability of the supplier, so will require solid and proven internal stakeholder skills combined with the ability to translate and articulate procurement needs into vendor solutions.

Position Duties

• Develop and implement strategies for negotiation, extension or tendering of services provided by Technology Vendors and provide commercial advice on technology as required to ensure the business achieves the optimum outcome from all contracts
  
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in order to ensure that strategies and processes are in place and that appropriate due diligence is applied to the construction and execution of contracts
  
• Implement and monitor adherence to governance framework to ensure that Technology suppliers deliver from both a strategic and operational perspective in line with business objectives
  
• Implement and utilise commercial framework to ensure adherence to the businesses IT sourcing policies and practices
  
• Utilise contract management systems such as Contract Management Database and workflow management tools to ensure information on contracts is accurately captured and readily available
  
• Assist in the development of strategies, and implement processes to ensure that relationships deliver competitive solutions that meet overall business goals and objectives
  
• Provide advice and instruction on contract construction services to relevant stakeholders where required
  
• Ensure that the establishment/implementation of contracts is performed in adherence to the businesses internal management framework
  
• Participate in performance, mentoring and coaching activities etc. to ensure effective people management and development within the Vendor Management team 

Skills & Experience Required

• Three + years experience in a commercial environment including experience in negotiating and managing vendor contracts
• Two + years management experience, with demonstrable ability in stakeholder relationship management
• Developed skills in negotiation of external sourcing agreements, demonstrating commercial and business acumen and pragmatism
