Jigsaws Viewpoint
Some of the reasons why Jetstar Airways are an attractive employer for procurement practitioners are:
- Sizeable and diverse spend portfolio presenting expansive opportunities for Procurement projects.
- Procurement is seen as a key partner to the Operations group with significant buy in and business
head alignment.
- The functions reporting line is two steps from the CEO which makes for useful
support at executive level.
- The business is less beaurocratic than many large corporate businesses therefore the ability to act
with some level of flexibility and commercial flair is apparent within this business.
- A modest team of two with the potential to grow as the business expands
- There is advantageous and optional leverage from the Qantas Group assets allowing for major
opportunities to aggregate spend, but at the same time you will not be bound by Qantas policy should a
better arrangement for the business be identified separately.
- A rewarding and supportive culture with strong leadership that understands the value Procurement
can bring to an organisation.
- Opportunity to advance your career across Asia Pac or globally within the Qantas Group.
