Jigsaw Search’s client is looking to appoint a generic procurement expert to supplement their service delivery function. As an outcome focused solution provider the role requires the successful candidate to be able to understand the customer’s needs before constructing a tailored solution. 

The Role

As a consultancy the delivery methodology of their services is the most critical part of the company’s operations making this role crucial to the overall success of the company.

This role offers candidates the opportunity to interact with all aspects of the business and as a completely new role offers procurement professionals a genuine “Greenfield” role with the ability to interact with a number of great companies and experience a varied and ever changing work environment. 

Position Duties

• Research and Develop new sales opportunities in conjunction with the Regional Director - Procurement and Supply Chain Services
  
• Act as subject matter expert for select procurement applications
  
• Development of company and commodity profiles to support the sales function and the client’s sourcing process
  
• Pre-Sales support both on and off client site
  
• Proposal drafting and presentation
  
• Support and Deliver of client facing professional procurement services
  
• Management of a budgetary line item for professional services development 

Skills & Experience Required

• 5 years + experience in a procurement environment with hands on experience in: Strategic
• Sourcing, Transaction Management, Supplier and Contract Management, Warehousing, Logistics and Inventory and expertise in one or more category.
• Willingness to travel multiple days per month
• Proven Leadership Skills and ability to lead teams
• Demonstrated change management competency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A bachelors degree
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
