Jigsaw Search’s client is an Australian owned and operated FMCG organisation currently embarking on joint ventures. They are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the procurement function as well as a complex portfolio of spend (raw materials and packaging) that is business critical. 

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the successful candidate will manage the end to end procurement function with an initial emphasis on the sourcing of raw materials and packaging that are utilised in the finished product (Critical/Direct). You will have proven experience of working with ingredients coupled with robust procurement skills including stakeholder engagement, sourcing, contract implementation, vendor management and leadership.

Further you will utilise your expertise to transform the organisation to a systems based procurement function, designing and implementing models to improve efficiencies within procurement. 

Position Duties

• Identification of spend & supplier base – data analysis
  
• Development of robust sourcing strategy
  
• Implementation / negotiation
  
• Post implementation monitoring for compliance & further optimisation
  
• Influencing Internal Customers to change manage supply sources
  
• Managing Suppliers to deliver agreed service levels
  
• Understanding category cost drivers to deliver an optimal business results
  
• Analysis & Extraction of data from various systems
  
• Category Strategy Development and Implementation
  
• Knowledge & understanding of spend category and supplier base
  
• Gaining stakeholder alignment on delivery & implementation of strategy
  
• Work with legal to develop formal supply agreements
• Implementing, monitoring and reviewing performance of suppliers and formal tracking of savings delivery 
  

Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role you will be a highly qualified procurement professional with experience in end to end procurement, preferably within FMCG.  Raw Materials, ingredients and packaging experience will be highly favourable.  You will demonstrate a high degree of commercial acumen, strong stakeholder engagement skills and vendor management skills.  You will be analytically adept with experience in category strategy development and implementation.
